@alpha Tbey eventually found the cause of SIDS didn’t they? It was some genetic or viral thing?

@alpha She recommends an oxygen monitor sock instead of back sleeping, but I don't know if I trust a life support system that depends on an app + my smartphone + my wifi + my residential internet connection + whatever cloud server the app depends on all functioning perfectly at all times.

@ratkins I remember reading about that not too long ago as well - I don’t know if it was a direct cause or more correlation, though, so sleeping on the back may still be a worthwhile intervention even so? Especially depending on whether it’s reasonable to test for said cause.

@quizzicus It’s risk reduction in making decisions on the tradeoff - surely better than not having it, at the very least.
