Trying out ordering non-brand name items from Aliexpress, since I figure I may as well cut out the middleman (Amazon) that’s not actually providing any value.

@alpha I mean they're the exact same items. I've been considering doing this lately.

@alpha Fast shipping and easy returns, but otherwise it's great getting the same thing for a fraction of the price

@alpha I’ve done it. Shipping takes a little longer and you can just give up on the idea of returns, but for ¼ of the price it’s mostly worth the risk.

@quizzicus Yup, and I rarely need either of those things, in which case I can just use Amazon.

@alpha What value Amazon provides depends on your local regulatory environment (which they make at least some effort to meet). So not much in the US, more in the EU, y'know?

But yeah, probably better off with Aliexpress for an awful lot of stuff
