Personally, I hold that mocks are really mainly useful when you have good abstractions.

@alpha I’ve grown much less in favor of mocks as I continue to see inexperienced engineers duct taping them into an incomprehensible mess in no small part due to thoughtless “dependency” injection. And as my role gives me less time to roll up my sleeves and just fix it.

@josephholsten It’s a sharp tool, to be sure.
